The sons and daughters of the atheists are whole too. I would venture to say that they are whole and they have been whole since birth. I guess that proves there's no God. Silly declarations elicit more silly declarations.

Blaming God doesn't sound like an atheist, sounds more like a disaffected believer. Atheist never blame God, they don't believe in that. When people in this forum attack the Bible, they are not attacking God, they are attacking the people who created that specific type of God, and by extension the people who believe in that type of God.
By the way, it's a lot easier to attack the God of the O.T. In fact some early christians believe the God of the O.T. was a bad God. The God of the N.T. is not that great either, but at least doesn't commit genocide everytime he throws a tantrum. He's a bit weird though. Save humanity by sending your own Son to suffer a humiliating death. WTF. that guy... Paul... was really imaginative. Not even JW's today could have pulled that off

Just noticed something else that proves the Bible is made up.
by BU2B inexodus 9 then the lord said to moses, go to pharaoh and say to him, this is what the lord, the god of the hebrews, says: let my people go, so that they may worship me.
2if you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them back, 3the hand of the lord will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the fieldon your horses, donkeys and camels and on your cattle, sheep and goats.
4but the lord will make a distinction between the livestock of israel and that of egypt, so that no animal belonging to the israelites will die.?.

Evidently, the egyptians stole some of the cattle from the Jews in between plagues. Your "catch' evidently shows that you are spritually weak.
Village girl,
We are having fun. What's wrong with that. Have some self deprecating humor. We all look stupid at some point or another. Religion have more than fair share though. Science rarely looks stupid because it never claims to have any absolute truth. Religious people do. In fact, the Bible looks quite stupid when you think of it as infallible or the word of God, but it is a great book to study as a piece of history.

I am afraid you are an apostate now. Now God will curse you for the rest of your life with freedom and plenty of opportunities to make yourself and others truly happy an fulfilled. As a JW you either pretend to be, or are delusionally happy. Congratulations on your decision to come to the Dark Side. By the way, you are very smart for a 15 y.o.

So sorry to report... this memorial was not the last one
by suavojr innothing new to report... this memorial was not the last one (sigh) :(.
on top of that, the assistance for my hall was the same as last year.
i don't see how they will break the 20 million mark.. also, with the current trend the brothers who partake publicly will most likely pass the 14,000.. how was the memorial in your part of the world?.

Too soon. You have to wait another 12 lunar months minus a day to say we are free of the curse of the FDS

HOME SCHOOL and the upcoming generation of scientifically illiterate kids
by Terry inwhen i worked for a book store i became familiar with beka text books for home school.. i spoke with the mothers who came looking for them.
i realized something didn't smell right.. then, i realized there are a couple of generations of fundamentalist kids who have had no exposure.
to the scientific method, science facts or any conversancy with physics or biology or history as a result of beka textbooks.. in a nutshell here is the situation:.

C'mon Shadow, you are learning from the WT when it comes to sources. Get better sources. You may have good numbers to support your point, but you have to get better with your sources

I will be there in july of this year (Maui and Big island) with my JW wife and children. Last year we were in Alaska, the year before Mexican Riviera, year before Cancun, year before Cabo San Lucas and plenty of short vacations in between, in the western U.S. Tough!!! Don't you think
They have a great point (Jw's) when they say the signs of the end of the world are quite obvious. Yeah, any of those vacations is costing me an average of 8,000.00. That's got to be one of the signs of the end coming. In paradise we will not have to spend that kind of many. I hope God gets me my free vacations soon.

by cultBgone ininteresting comment box from a 2012 wt mag...found this when looking for something else.
.
sure, "they realize that when a child becomes an adult, he or she will make a personal choice with regard to worship" but if their decision is to not be a jw, they are cut off from their family.. talk about deception, these guys are masterful... .
